Poll: Christie No Longer New Jersey Republicans' 2016 Favorite

New Jersey Republicans no longer think Gov. Chris Christie (R) would be the best presidential candidate in 2016, according to a Monmouth University poll released on Wednesday.

According to the poll, 44 percent of Republicans in the state said Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker (R) would make a better president, while just 30 percent said Christie would make a better president.

Majority Of N.C. Registered Voters Oppose A Religious Freedom Law

A majority of North Carolina voters disagree with the prospect of North Carolina Gov. Pat McCrory (R) signing a religious freedom bill into law, according to a new Elon University poll released Tuesday.

McCrory has repeatedly expressed opposition to signing such legislation. Two religious freedom proposals filed last month have not made it through legislative committees.

Second Poll Shows Walker's Approval Rating Slipping

In the wake of a poll last week showing low approval ratings for Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker (R), a second poll released on Wednesday found Walker's approval rating slipping as well.

Just 41 percent of Wisconsin residents approved of Walker while 58 percent disapproved, according to a poll released by St. Norbert College, Wisconsin Public Radio and Wisconsin Public Television.

Poll Finds Rubio Performing Best Against Hillary Clinton

Sen. Marco Rubio (R-FL) performs the best against Hillary Clinton in a hypothetical presidential race, only trailing her by two percentage points, according to a Quinnipiac University National poll released on Thursday.

In the matchup between Rubio and Clinton, 43 percent of voters supported Rubio and 45 percent supported Clinton. Sen. Rand Paul (R-KY) trailed behind Clinton by four points, while former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee and Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker each trailed Clinton by five points.
